You want to learn to wheelie..? At learn2wheelie weve
got a fantastic wheelie school experience where you can... so
bring on the grin!
Our whole approach is designed to get you the best results
as quickly and safely as possible. We teach you the theory and
give you plenty of practice in a step by step method as you
become confident in launching and holding up a wheelie for maximum
grins.
Our method starts you off on a modified quad bike where you
learn exactly how to clutch a wheelie up in a safe and realistic
environment. Our Quads are virtually impossible to flip, which
gets rid of the fear factor of crashing, so you
can concentrate on practicing the proper wheelie technique in
an exciting and safe way. (Riders have the option of going straight
to the bikes if they prefer.)
Through expert guidance launching a wheelie will become second
nature as you progress from quads to our specially modified
bikes youll have a solid foundation and feel more confident
up on one wheel. We use Yamaha FZS 600 Fazers, with standard
gearing, so that you learn the proper clutch technique (which
transfers to any bike) rather than just cracking open the throttle
on a powerful machine.
Ultimately, most students want to be able wheelie their own
bike, so if you and the instructors are confident in your new
skills, you can learn2wheelie on your own bike. Different bikes
have different sweet spots, so having the expert instructors
with you ensures you successfully transfer your new wheelie
skills correctly and safely to your own machine.
The standard course teaches riders 'sit-down wheelies'. learn2wheelie
students who have succeeded in sit-down wheelies are invited
back to do the 'stand-up wheelies' course. We have Steve Farrel
from MCN to thank for this as he was our first stand up student
- as seen in MotorCycle News on May 2nd 2012. Well done that
man!
